The journey

Room to celebrate. Room to breathe.

Thailand 2027 moves between two rhythms: the energy of Bangkok and the slower pace of Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. Timed around Songkran, celebration runs through the journey, alongside temples, food, culture and the everyday moments that come from discovering Thailand side by side.

Then the pace changes. Clear water, island days and time with nowhere to be give everyone room to reset before we head back to Bangkok. Energy and ease, celebration and stillness: this journey is built on both, and on the people you share them with.

Why April

A celebration worth travelling for.

Thailand in April means arriving in the middle of one of the country’s biggest celebrations. Songkran turns the streets into a joyful, all-out water fight: music playing, water flying and whole neighbourhoods caught up in the energy of Thai New Year.

And once the celebrations settle, the journey slows down. Warm days, clear water and tropical islands give us space to switch pace completely, from the energy of Bangkok to easy days by the sea.

A bucket-list experience

Songkran is one of those experiences you have to live at least once. There’s something unforgettable about being right in the middle of it: soaked through, laughing with strangers and celebrating alongside thousands of people. It’s chaotic, joyful and completely unlike an ordinary trip to Thailand.

The experience

More than a route.A journey that changes tempo.

Four threads run through these eleven days: the city, the islands, the celebration and the rest in between.

  1. An ornate temple with tiered red and gold roofs beneath a bright cloudy sky.

    01

    City energy

Bangkok is where the group finds its feet. The plan includes a guided visit to the National Museum and the Grand Palace, time at Wat Pho, the home of traditional Thai massage, and the malls and markets around MBK Center and Siam Paragon. It is loud, busy and a brilliant place to start getting to know each other.

  2. A group of travellers stands in the sun before an ornate palace with golden spires.

    02

    Island time

Across the water, the pace drops. On Koh Phangan and Koh Samui the days are planned around viewpoints, beaches, a boat trip to Ang Thong National Marine Park and an afternoon at Than Sadet Waterfall, with space left for doing very little at all.

  3. Bronze sculptures of multi-headed elephants beside a Thai flag under a clear blue sky.

    03

    Celebration

Celebration here is bigger than one day. It starts with Songkran, Thai New Year, and carries on in smaller moments: a cooking class together, sunset on the beach, and long meals where everyone swaps stories from the day.

  4. A jade-green guardian statue with hands pressed together inside a temple room.

    04

    Rest & wellness

There is space in this journey to slow down, reset and look after yourself too. Between the energy, movement and celebration, quieter moments give you room to breathe, recharge and simply enjoy being where you are.

A note on pace

The best moments usually happen when nobody is rushing.

Rest & recovery

Room to slow down.

The slower moments matter just as much as the big ones. Thailand 2027 is designed with space between the experiences: time to settle into island life, enjoy your surroundings and come back to yourself before the pace picks up again. It is that balance that gives the journey room to breathe.

Everything you need to make an informed decision is here. Take a moment to explore the answers before you secure your place.

Traveller fit

For people seeking more than a standard holiday.

  1. You want to be in Thailand for Songkran, not just hear about it afterwards.
  2. You love a city at full volume, and you know the value of a slow day by the sea.
  3. You’re curious about Thailand beyond the beaches: its food, temples, traditions and everyday life.
  4. You enjoy travelling with a group and meeting people you’d never have met otherwise.
  5. You’re happy travelling with a plan while leaving a little room for the journey to unfold.
  6. You value shared experiences, but still want space to slow down and enjoy some time your own way.
  • There’s travel between stops, including flights between Bangkok and Koh Samui and boats between the islands. You arrange and pay for every flight independently; a few days involve moving from one place to the next.
  • Some days involve walking, steps and climbs to viewpoints, alongside plenty of beach and free time.
  • Songkran is joyful and chaotic. Expect to get soaked, and pack with that in mind.
  • This is a Proposed Trip Itinerary. The overall shape of the journey is set, but sequencing and specific details may change as the trip is finalised.
  • Travel insurance is not included in the trip price and is your responsibility to arrange.
  • This is a hosted group trip built around shared experiences, with time to relax and explore on your own too. We ask everyone to approach people, traditions and temples with respect and curiosity.
